Events & Fundraising
If you are up for a challenge or a day to remember, and want to support young people and their mental health, why not fundraise for Youthline?
Fundraising events and sponsorships offer us vital support, helping to keep our service free and accessible for the young people and adults who need support. So far, Youthline has been able to raise thousands of pounds with the fundraising efforts of our team, our Young Ambassadors, volunteers and other community supporters. They’ve participated in a wide variety of events in the Bracknell Forest area and further afield.
Some examples of our past successful fundraising efforts include:
-
Bracknell resident, Monika ran the Virtual London Marathon 2023
-
Local residents participated in Bracknell and Reading half marathons as well as 5k and 10k races
-
The Bracknell Together annual walk
-
A Youthline counsellor, Annabel took to the skies on a wing walk
-
A parent of our services cycled from Lands’ End to John O’Groats
-
Volunteers and local community took part in a quiz at the Admiral Cunningham pub
-
Former client held a cake sale at her workplace as well as local companies holding them for their staff
-
Jennett's Park yearly Christmas lights display raised money for Youthline as their chosen charity
Tips for sponsored events
Make sure people know how to sponsor you
Youthline has a JustGiving page that you can link your sponsors to for donations, or alternatively you could set up your own JustGiving page if you feel confident doing so.
If you’d like to host an event, or are participating in one, let us know
Youthline can promote it across our social media channels and can supply you with leaflets and/or a physical donations box.
Ask your employers if they operate a donation matching scheme for charitable work
You could also ask if your company can offer any other support or promotion for your cause. Corporate support and sponsorship has been a vital part of previous fundraising at Youthline.
Getting your donation to us
JustGiving is a fantastic, easy way to organise your donations—the donations will come directly to us after the end of the event, with no extra work needed from you! It’s easy to link to and promote in-person or online, and can be shared quickly with your friends, family and other supporters.
If you’d prefer to donate another way, we also accept donations online through our website, or via bank transfer—please ask for details. Donations can also be accepted by cheque made payable to Youthline Ltd, posted to 7 Portman Close, Bracknell, Berkshire, RG42 1NE.
If you’re interested in fundraising for Youthline or would like to take part in a fundraising event, please do get in touch! Contact the team at fundraising@youthlineuk.com.
